The Minnesota Corn Growers Association (MCGA) is building a more sustainable future for the state’s corn growers by making a difference in your community, in St. Paul, and Washington, D.C.

These relationships benefit you because MCGA is at the table when you can’t be, advocating tirelessly for corn farmers and rural communities at the state and federal level, defending corn farmers freedom to operate, enhancing market demand, and sustaining rural communities.  

Your MCGA membership automatically includes a membership in the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) and your local county corn association. Allowing you to stay up to date on the issues affecting agriculture and amplifying your voice.

What is the partial refund program?

Corn farmers can invest in a membership in MCGA using their Minnesota checkoff dollars. Membership dues are paid from the first dollars collected on a farmers’ corn checkoff at the point of first purchase. To authorize and assign payment for a membership in MCGA using the partial refund program, please complete the Partial Refund Membership Form below. Information will be verified prior to processing membership. Please allow up to two weeks for membership to become active.

Do I qualify for the partial refund program?

  • 1 Year Membership: If you have sold and checked off (in Minnesota) a minimum of 7,500 bushels of corn at the $.01 rate within the last 12 months, you qualify for a 1-year corn membership to MCGA.
  • 3 Year Membership: If you have sold and checked off (in Minnesota) a minimum of 20,000 bushels of corn at the $.01 rate within the last 12 months, you qualify for a 3-year corn membership to MCGA.
  • Young Adult Membership: If you have sold and checked off (in Minnesota) a minimum of 2,000 bushels of corn at the $.01 rate within the last 12 months, you can sign up a young adult member who is between the ages of 16-24.

Scholarships

The Minnesota Corn Growers Association (MCGA) is proud to offer four $5,000 scholarships to Young Adult members who are currently enrolled or will be enrolled as a full-time student during the fall semester. Applicants must hold a current Young Adult corn membership with MCGA, and be working toward a degree in an agriculture-related field. Several county corn associations also offer scholarships.
