A short video showing University of Minnesota Mascot Goldy Gopher and Minnesota Corn Growers Association Mascot Nafaka Fladaboe making corn ice cream is now available on the Minnesota corn website (http://mncorn.org/) and also on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrIYQaFU0Fc.

This is the second-year the Minnesota Corn Growers will distribute their popular corn ice cream at Farmfest, the state’s largest farm show, which will be held August 3-5 near Redwood Falls, Mn.  The corn ice cream is made by the University of Minnesota food Science Department. 

"We got rave reviews for our corn ice cream last year," said Jenna Kromann, communications assistant for Minnesota Corn Growers Association. "It's hard to describe, but at first you taste this very sweet, light, vanilla-like flavor and then you taste corn. It’s very good but the only problem last year was that we ran out, so this year we'll be prepared for the demand. We've ordered a whole lot of corn ice cream."
